Decisional Roles: Finally, Mintzberg identified four roles that revolve around the making of choices. They are collectively called as decisions roles. In the entrepreneur role, managers initiates and over see new projects that will improve their organization performance.
Disturbance Handler Role: As a disturbance handler, managers take corrective action to response to previously unforeseen problems. Examples of such problems are: breakdown of a machine, dispute between employees, strike call out by lab our union. Withdrawal if credit facility by suppliers, etc. These problems require swift and tactful handling by the manager.
