Some bands will do covers for the money and originals for their fans. Stagnato mainly works with bands in her area. She says it’s not always easy to put band from out-of-state in a local club since most of the clubs want bands that will draw. “It depends on the club,” She says. “Some clubs are healthy clubs and there’s going to be people there no matter who plays because the club is fun and does well. Those are usually near colleges or on the water.”According to Stagrato, the only bands that aren’t from the region who do well are those who do covers for an audience that wants a lot of modern rock or party music. That’s why stagnato prefers local bands.
