David Cohen is also concerned about working with people with whom he gets along. He says he wants acts that are cooperative and have stage presence as well as stage personality and original technique. It’s important, he insists, to know “whether I can be friends with them.” Cohen wants acts that are recommended, preferably by one of his other acts. The dancing bear roster is small and selective, and his acts are supportive of one another. Cohen says that colleges “either want the solo or musical duo acts, or they want the cover bands. That’s it.”
